July 2009 - Spanish Bank Beach West, Vancouver, BC Canada
We take a chance on a medium-low tide day, and head down to the Spanish Bank just in case we might come across some bald eagle activity.
We do indeed find one, sitting on a sandy island that has formed a short way out on the tidal flats. We manage to get reasonably close before some curious people with an unruly dog cause the eagle to fly away.
